As part of their Welsh Baccalaureate Year 10 pupils from Ysgol Eirias have been working at the local care of the elderly day centre to spruce up their outside space.

Kind donations of bedding plants from Julie at Llandudno B&Q and Dave at Tan Llan nursery have enabled the pupils to add a real splash of colour for residents and day visitors at Llys Elian, Colwyn Bay to enjoy.

After a morning of hard work repainting woodwork, planting containers and tidying the area pupils were able to enjoy serving an afternoon tea to the elderly people.

Some residents enjoyed having their nails painted and some time to try some craft activities with the students.

Some of the pupils involved were Lauren Irvine, Megan Summersgill, Beth O‚ÄôRourke, Emily Little.  Regular visitor Ann carefully supervised the planting choices.
