What's it all about?

"Every child has the right to express their views, feelings and wishes in all matters affecting them, and to have their views considered and taken seriously. This right applies at all times.” Article 12 – UNCRC

Welcome to Student Voice. We are an elected Team of students committed to supporting all students in school. We are organised in a way that is inclusive of all students. The Steering Group keeps everything in order and is made up of various roles – Chair and Vice Chair, Secretary and Vice Secretary, Treasurer and Vice Treasurer, Two Student Governors, as well as Team Leaders of our Environment, Learning, Community and Publicity Teams. We are also supported by a number of staff coordinators who help us get things done. These roles are for a specified time period, at the end of which elections are held for any student to apply for an available position. All students are encouraged to apply for their chosen role or vote for their favourite candidates.

During more normal times, we have organised and run larger meetings in school for all students to attend. This is difficult to do now but we also have slots where we can run assemblies and other activities.
