Last week, former pupil and sea turtle vet Dr Claire Lomas delivered a presentation on marine conservation and the work of the Olive Ridley Project Charity to many of our sixth formers. Students learned about the effect of ghost nets and plastic on sea turtles and found out how to reduce their own impact. They also heard about opportunities to volunteer for the charity in Baa Atoll, Maldives.
Huge thanks to Claire for giving up her time to speak to the pupils whilst she is back in the UK for such a short time, and to the Olive Ridley Project (www.oliveridleyproject.org) for giving us this brilliant opportunity.
