Engineering Education Scheme Wales (EESW) project

Seven Year 12 Eirias High School pupils are taking part in the Engineering Education Scheme Wales (EESW) project across North Wales

On the 5th October pupils from Eirias Sixth Form attended the “EESW Welcome Event” in Bangor University which included an introduction to the 6-month project along with a meet and greet with engineers from the industry.

Eirias High School will be working on two projects with Professor Cameron Gray from Bangor University, a Cyber Security expert. Project one is a location system for conference events using wireless technology. Project two is a game to spark interest and understanding in the STEM industry.

During the project, students research and design a solution and produce a final proposal or prototype with support from their engineer. In December, the pupils will share their prototypes with Professor Gray and other specialists from the industry at Bangor University. Good luck to our pupils taking part in this amazing opportunity.
