Conwy Schools’ Headteacher Response:
As the Headteachers of the Secondary schools in Conwy we wanted to take this opportunity to jointly celebrate the endeavours of our Year 11 learners in light of the unprecedented experiences they have encountered in their schooling over these, their GCSE years. We are very proud of the way they have approached their studies and the maturity and resilience they have shown.
As a cohort we have seen these young people challenged in a way not seen previously and they have risen to this challenge in a way that makes us as schools very proud. Their perseverance and tenacity have known no bounds. These are lifelong skills which will serve them well.
We would also like to thank our dedicated staff for guiding our learners though this turbulent time, preparing them for their GCSE and vocational exams. We thank our parents, communities and governors for their support in ensuring the achievements and success of all our pupils.
