Education in Wales is changing.

A new curriculum (Curriculum for Wales) will be introduced in September across all years up to Year 7.

At Eirias, we have been working hard to develop a Year 7 curriculum that allows our learners to be ambitious and creative, to make ethical and healthy decisions and to be effective citizens of Wales.

We will also be working hard with our Primary Schools to ensure that there is smooth transition from Year 6 to 7 with regard to learning.

At the moment, we are reviewing our Year 7 provision and would value your input into the changes.

We have sent out a questionnaire to all parents via Talaxy about the current curriculum and about what you would like to see being taught. You may not be able to answer all of the questions but we value your input into any aspect that you feel you can comment on.

We will be populating this area of the website as the new curriculum develops.

The Welsh Government have provided these short guides and animation to help explain what the Curriculum for Wales will look like:

From September 2022, the way children and young people learn in schools will change, to prepare them better for a changing world.
