Qualifications Awarding Process

Please find below our re-drafted, more ‘user-friendly’ Assessment Calendars for GCSE, AS and A2.

Please note:

  • The calendars provide an overview of the assessments only and are subject to change to meet the requirements of the regulatory boards. Pupils will be kept up to date of any such amendments.
  • Assessments are not exams. They will take place in classrooms.
  • Assessment times, as you will see, may range from 2 minutes within a lesson to the full lesson depending on the nature and level of that assessment.
  • Pupils who are entitled to special access arrangements will still have that provided.

We do appreciate that that this is a particularly stressful time for parents and learners alike. Please do not hesitate to contact your son/daughters Head of Learning; Mrs Hughes (Head of Yr 11) or Mr Gavin (Head of Sixth Form) in the first instance if we can help you or your child during the assessment period.

The Centre Assessment Policy below has been approved by WJEC and outlines the process that we have to follow.
