Learners studying Finance, Economics and Business at Ysgol Eirias, along with our link course pupils from surrounding schools, were fortunate to have a visit from Ian Derrick today. Ian is the Bank of England Deputy Agent at the Agency for Wales.

Ian discussed and interacted with pupils from GCSE and A Level to give them an insight into the role of the Bank of England as the Central Bank for the UK. As well as a virtual tour of the Bank, Ian explained to the pupils about the current state of the economy and the way interest rates and inflation are linked. It was extremely informative and supportive of their studies and upcoming exams.
