Eirias A Level Students Celebrate Success in 2024

Following the continuing accolade of being one of the Sunday Times top ten schools for A Level performance, Ysgol Eirias has demonstrated clearly why it deserves that place. This year, our sixth form students in Year 13 at Ysgol Eirias have worked hard and reaped the rewards with their excellent results.

Outstanding performances have enabled a significant number of students to continue their studies through courses such as Mathematics, Fine Art, Nursing and the Sciences. A significant number of students will be accessing courses related to health care and life sciences such as Biomedical Science, Paramedic Science and Pharmacy whilst others are taking a more performance related route through courses such as Acting for Screen, Music Theatre and Costume Design.

"I am so proud of the achievements of these hardworking and ambitious young adults. They are a credit to our school and their families. The staff are very proud of the results and we are grateful for their dedication and commitment to the futures of our learners.”
Headteacher, Mrs Zoe Evans

Many of our learners have been successful in their pursuit of courses in Law, Business, Architecture or Psychology. Our focus on expanding cultural horizons continues with students following courses in Scandinavian Studies, German & Law, French & Mathematics and Classics.

Successful students were overjoyed with their excellent results and the vast majority of students have secured their futures in whichever path they have chosen. Of specific note is the sustained high results in French and German (100% A*-A) and 100% Distinction in PE Diplomas.

Excellent results in Music, Philosophy and Ethics, Further Mathematics, Art and Physics has reinforced applications into specific career pathways. We saw continued success with our Advanced Skills Challenge Certificate (Welsh Baccalaureate) with over 70% of the Year 13 cohort gaining A*-B.
