A Level Sport students take to the mountains and sea.

As part of the Year 13 OCR Cambridge Technical in Sport, the Year 13's chose to complete Unit 10: Outdoor and Adventurous Activities. Part of the course requires them to take part and lead in two activities. The idea behind the unit is to encourage students to explore a range of activities and to understand that improving fitness isn’t restricted to a gym or a sports field but can also be found up a mountain, in the sea or even in the clouds (the cloud-based activities proved too risky for students 😊)

The activities were mountain walking and stand-up paddle boarding. For their mountain walking activity, the students showed excellent determination, scrambling up one of Wales toughest peaks, Tryfan. They also had a SUPer day for part 2 of their adventurous activities working out of @Morwatersports at Porth Eirias . All accomplished lots of new skills, challenged their understanding of fitness and pushed themselves to embrace new experiences.
