Year 7 pupils at Ysgol Eirias were treated to an afternoon of music last Thursday afternoon when the new Conwy Music Cooperative visited school to promote the benefits of playing instruments. https://conwymusic.com/

Pupils were treated to a series of songs and were encouraged to participate by singing, dancing, and clapping along.

The tour aims to bring the joy and fun of learning instruments into schools and was the launch of the peripatetic lessons that run throughout the year in school.

There have been numerous studies that point to the long term benefits of learning a musical instrument. The British Psychological Society suggest that learning a musical instrument may have life long cognitive benefits and Classic FM goes through a number of factors that lead to improved well-being for learners.
