As a reward for their commitment, perseverance and hard work over the last 2 years, year 13 pupils were rewarded with a water skills session at Porth Eirias (provided by the Conwy Leisure Services).

Due to adverse weather they couldn't paddleboard as planned but in their highly resilient and adaptable style they took to a surf rescue session like ducks to water. Developing open water safety knowledge and cold water survival skills as well as running a surfboard gauntlet to end the morning (with some very entertaining dismounts).

Wishing this fantastic group of wholesome individuals the very best of luck in their futures.
