Back in November 2025, 8d3 had the opportunity to create 'quests' for Minecraft Education.

On Wednesday 6^th May 2026, members of 8d3 went to Plas Mawr to explore the Elizabethan house in Conwy and to play the game they helped to create. The pupils had a great afternoon, making Minecraft figures out clay and actually exploring the virtual Plas Mawr Minecraft game.

This whole experience for the pupils from the beginning was an exciting opportunity. From a creative aspect and also a sense of Cynefin all pupils took to the challenge and really enjoyed a different side to History! The team at Cadw, Plas Mawr and Minecraft Education were great to work with and the History Department at Eirias looks forward to more collaboration with Cadw and Plas Mawr in the future!
