During the week of 18th September 2016, Year 10 supported the Global Goals by partaking in the Worlds Largets Lesson. During this week the pupils watched a campign video from Sir Ken Robinson and Emma Watson and decided to campign and raise awreness of a Global Goal via social media.

Calling all parents! Do you want the chance to see what life is like in year 7 on a normal school day?  Then why not come along to one of our popular 'Open Mornings' on Tuesday  October 11th or Tuesday November 1st! We will quiz Y7 students, look at their work, visit  their lessons and talk to their teachers.  There will also be an introduction by the Head teacher as well as an overview of the Y7 curriculum and transition events for Y6 pupils. On Monday 26th September, Ysgol Eirias donned the European colours for our annual celebration of European Day of Languages.  The focus of the day was not only to celebrate languages but also to celebrate diversity, both globally & within our own school community.

The Rotary Club have kindly volunteered to provide mock interviews to students applying for courses that are likely to involve interviews – for example Oxbridge, Medicine, Vet Science, Teaching.  A few slots are still available and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.  Please speak to Mr Gavin for further details.

Volunteers are needed to provide 1-to-1 support for children of varying disabilities on alternate Saturdays at Colwyn Bay Leisure Centre.  This could be a great opportunity – particularly for students interested in a career in the care or leisure sectors.  For more information please refer to the poster opposite the Common Room.

Ysgol Eirias had a very successful meet at the 2016 North Wales Ski finals.  They came away with Team gold for the Boys team made up of Joe Constantine, Alex Davies, Sol Kerfoot-Robson and Ben Constantine and the Girls team of Caitlin Leece, Ella Ward, Natasha Leece and Olivia Ward.
