At Ysgol Eirias we have a new program called KiVa, which will form a big part of the school's pastoral programme over the next few years.
KiVa is an antibullying program that has been developed in the University of Turku, Finland, with funding from the Ministry of Education and Culture. The program is evidence-based which means that the effectiveness of KiVa has been proven scientifically. KiVa offers a wide range of concrete tools and materials for schools to tackle bullying.
All of our learners are completing the questionnaire at present:
If a pupil is isolating, please contact school about completing the initial questionnaire.
Mrs Kerfoot-Robson can be contacted for a code.
Year 10 will be contacted via text with a link to complete the questionnaire.
Parents’ Guide is part of the KiVa antibullying program, a research-based tool to prevent and reduce bullying problems.
The Guide offers information about bullying; what is known from current research and what can be done at home and at school. Cooperation between home and school is important in addressing bullying.
KiVa says – let’s do it together!
