Design and Technology Award Winner

Congratulations to former student Zoe Hughes who received an award for her Year 13 project work in the competition for the Innovations Awards 2018.

She received the Intellectual Property Award for her aid for disabled gardeners which she designed and made for her Nan who has very bad arthritis. This is a personally designed product which fits to her arm and can have a number of different attachments fitted. The ceremony took place at the Senedd in Cardiff, where Zoe talked about her design with the Cabinet Secretary for Education for WG who also presented the awards.

It is a fantastic achievement for students to receive these awards as they are open to all (throughout Wales as well as further afield) who take the WJEC Design and Technology A level.
