Open Letter from Conwy Secondary Heads, A Level Results / Llythyr Agored gan Benaethiaid Uwchradd Conwy, Canlyniadau Lefel A, 13/8/20

We write this letter jointly as Conwy Secondary Headteachers to recognise the collective endeavours of all our year 13 pupils this year. We are very proud of all the hard work that our pupils have put into their A Level work and of their maturity, resilience and perseverance in the light of an unprecedented final year of education in our schools in light of the Covid-19 pandemic.

We are delighted with their achievements and wish them all the best in their future pathways: university, further education, apprenticeships or work. We know that their experiences at our schools over the years have helped prepare them for the challenges and successes that lie ahead of them.

We would also like to recognise the hard work of our staff in preparing all our pupils and ensuring that this year’s very different assessment processes were met. We thank our parents, communities and governors for their support in ensuring the achievements and success of all our pupils.

Well done, year 13, and all the best for your future successes!

Ysgrifennwn y llythyr hwn ar y cyd fel Penaethiaid Uwchradd yng Nghonwy i gydnabod yr holl ymdrechion a llwyddiant ein disgyblion blwyddyn 13 eleni mewn blwyddyn o newid syfrdanol i’w bywydau. Rydym yn falch iawn o’r holl waith caled aeth i’w hastudiaethau lefel A. Rydym hefyd yn llawn balchder am eu haeddfedrwydd, eu dyfalbarhad a’u gwefr yn sgil yr heriau a newid maent wedi ei wynebu eleni yn eu blwyddyn olaf mewn addysg yn ein hysgolion yn sgil pandemig Covid-19.

Rydym wedi ein plesio yn fawr yn eu llwyddiant eleni a dymunwn yn dda iawn iddynt yn eu llwybrau i’r dyfodol: yn y brifysgol, addysg bellach, prentisiaeth neu fyd gwaith. Rydym yn ffyddiog bod eu profiadau yn ein hysgolion dros y blynyddoedd wedi eu cynorthwyo i oroesi heriau ac i wneud y mwyaf o’u llwyddiannau i’r dyfodol.

Hoffwn hefyd gydnabod gwaith caled ein staff fuodd yn eu haddysgu gan sicrhau fod y trefniadau gwahanol iawn eleni ar gyfer asesu disgyblion wedi eu cyflawni. Diolchwn hefyd i’n rhieni, ein cymunedau a’n llywodraethwyr am eu cefnogaeth wrth sicrhau cyflawniad a llwyddiant ein holl ddisgyblion.
