On our recent drama trip to see “Dear Evan Hansen” at the Liverpool Empire Theatre on Wednesday November 13th, students from Years 10-13 were treated to an unforgettable experience.
The Year 11 and Year 13 students found many aspects of inspiration in the performance from the acting to the set which will be used for their exams. The show, which tackles powerful themes like mental health and the pressures of social media, left a lasting impact on everyone snd links to the school’s KiVa programme.
“Dear Evan Hansen” is a deeply emotional show, and many of us were moved to tears multiple times throughout the performance. One of the most powerful moments came during the song “You Will Be Found.” This heartfelt number about the importance of connection and communication really connected with the audience.
The performance was nothing short of spectacular, with the actors delivering flawless performances. We were fortunate to see a cover for the role of Evan Hansen, and to our surprise, he was so talented that most of us did not even realise he was a cover.
A huge thanks to Miss Howell for organising such an amazing trip and a big thank you to the staff who accompanied on the trip.
